Living Green: The Greenest Politicians in Congress

Dear Friends,

The Daily Beast has come up with a list of the greenest politicians in Congress – and the ungreenest. Among the data they used are scores from the League of Conservation Voters – which I look at to understand votiing records. The Sierra Club is another good source of information – you can drill down and read candidates’ response to their questionnaires.

Also of interest is how little environmental groups and the cleantech industry contribute to candidates, except for a few exceptions. I wonder why the renewable energy industry, in particular, isn’t doing more on this.

Important news this week – after decades of fighting Chevron for polluting their rivers with oil, a court in Ecuador is allowing indigenous groups to see the company’s assets.

Until Next Week,
